What is a Tap On The Shoulder?
Did you ever get the feeling that someone or something out there was trying to tell you something? Well, that is what a Tap on the Shoulder is...one of those moments that comes along in each of our lives where the Holy Spirit communicates directly with us.
Taps can speak to many aspects of our lives. They can provide answers to a specific prayer, direction for our path, an affirmation of something that has been on our heart, or sometimes simply a message saying “you are not alone”. Sometimes it is just a simple tug pulling you back to your soul’s center…the Holy Spirit.
Taps can come in many forms. You may experience one on a billboard…in a letter from a friend…on your favorite tv show or in a song. I have found that most times the Holy Spirit wants me to hear a particular message, taps come multiple times in several different forms until I finally hear. My mother used to say that the Holy Spirit speaks to us in “3”s. But, Taps are highly personal. God knows HOW to speak to YOU in a way only you will understand.
